AnkiApp Flashcards App Reviews

The best!

This app is the best for flash cards. I LOVE that you can use Quizlet decks, this app honestly got me through high school. God bless.

Not Worth the Effort

So far, Ive experienced a lot of errors like cards not loading, text not appearing, and long loading times. I dont think its worth the time to figure this stuff out when one could be studying. There are far easier and more functional apps.

Constant logins

This used to work well, but now, not so much. It requires a login every use, and decks need to be redownloaded. Progress is no longer properly tracked.

Hey lets try to copy an app and give it the same name

This is a horrible app that poorly tries to copy anki mobile. Dont bother because it has almost no usage besides basic sided cards.

Would be amazing

Sadly doesnt work. When I try to login it just doesnt do anything. iOS 7 but wish it was working

Not working

Cards are blank, says its syncing with my account but the number of cards in the deck is way less than the number of cards I have created in my laptop app and synced up. So basically the app isnt functioning at all.

Working for me

Im able to import decks created on desktop and find the interface easier to use than ankis web app for my needs. The only thing I find cumbersome is that I cant import decks from onedrive via my iPad. I have to sync using the desktop first and its a bit of a pain to start it up for the sole purpose of syncing a deck. Id easily upgrade my rating if I could sync from onedrive via my iPad.

Update to prev review

Works on iPhone & iPad. Rare instances of freezing on iPad, but Ive never lost any information. Added star because dropbox sync makes it more convenient, but Id still prefer onedrive. I find the app intuitive.

As I am trying to learn Spanish, Anki helps me memorize a variety of commonly used phrases, words and sentences. There are so many flash card decks to choose from and it tests you repeatedly on the ones you cannot remember! Definitely a very useful resource for anyone trying to learn a second, third language

Good with the Mac app

I plug in vocab words on the Mac version and then study on my phone. Gets the job done nicely.

Great for language-learning/vocabulary-building

Highly recommended!

Great concept, bad execution

This app will misfile notecards you are working on and place them in the wrong deck. Mystifyingly they do not let you verify which deck your cards are being added to and you cannot switch decks after the fact, even on their website. I would look elsewhere.

Great for HSK and Chinese character memorization

Better algorithm than Anki/Anki Mobile. The spacing interval is priority based so you get individual grades for cards that are reviewed when you want instead of a massive "due" queue that you can never get through.

Great for learning Mandarin

Had lots of issues learning and preparing for my IB Mandarin exams until I found this app. Great interface and personalization as well.
